Welcome to the website of Brian Blyth Daubney
The composer and poet Brian Blyth Daubney has recently returned to his home county of Lincolnshire after an absence of many years. He retired to the small village of Southrey, on the Witham, about 2 miles from Bardney where he was born and spent several years there before moving to his current home in Lincoln.
Brian spent most of his teaching career in Leicester at the City of Leicester Training College-Polytechnic-Simon de Montfort University from 1962 to 1982 after which he was an examiner for the London College of Music.
He studied at Leicester University from 1947 to 1951, spent 3 years in the Royal Navy and then, after a year at Woodstock Secondary Modern School, returned to Lincolnshire to teach in North Hykeham at the Robert Pattinson School for five years between 1955 and 1960. He also taught for 2 years at North Kesteven Grammar School between 1960 and 1962.
